CANAL+University, OIF and ESAV in a partnership

CANAL+ UNIVERSITY and the OIF, in partnership with the Higher School of Visual Arts of Marrakech (ESAV), have launched a two-year program for film producers in Africa

CANAL+ UNIVERSITY and the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) signed a two-year partnership at the beginning of the year.

This two-year program, which is part of a dynamic of strengthening local skills, will allow four young professionals from sub-Saharan Africa to benefit from specialized training in film production, provided by the Higher School of Visual Arts of Marrakech (ESAV).

The "Pan-African Production Pathway" program aimed at film producers seeks to support and develop local talents.

By supporting African film production, CANAL+ UNIVERSITY and the OIF strengthen their role as key partners in the development of local talents and contribute to the structuring of a more competitive film ecosystem on the continent.

In this approach, special attention has been paid to the inclusion of women, and the parity goal has been exceeded since 3 out of the 4 beneficiaries are women. This commitment is part of the desire to give greater prominence to female talents in the sector, which is still largely male-dominated.
